Yes of course they would but get this - the M33 blurb says "To minimize the risk of future obsolescence, the M33 comes with two MDC slots that allow for further expansion." Is there any real intention to ever honour this boast for the M33 any more than the M12 or M32? I fear not.Ĭome along NAD, do the decent thing and offer us a Dirac MDC Module - and a USB / DSD module for that matter, and maybe one that obeys Alexa commands, so we can keep our M12s and M32s up to scratch
DIRAC LIVE CRACK UPGRADE
We seemingly can't get upgrade modules as promised, so perhaps NAD would like us to sell our M32s and buy M33s. No, what does NAD do? They bring out a new integrated amp (the M33) that's almost exactly the same as the M32 (when fitted with the streamer module), but includes Dirac and a few other goodies.

OK, we (as owners of M12 or M32) wait in the expectation that these new technologies will be made available to us by the purchase of a new expansion-slot module. Well, no sooner are these products out and bought in large numbers, the NAD M10 is launched (at a lower price to reflect its lower spec) that features Dirac room correction and a few other "new" features. Wonderful, we think, let's buy one and expect future technologies to become available in these units simply by adding a new modules into the module bays they thoughtfully include to keep them future proof.

DIRAC LIVE CRACK SERIES
This is what NAD says about their Master Series M12 preamp and M32 integrated. "Thanks to NAD's MDC technology, the M32 is ready for all future upgrades, ensuring that your system will never fall behind the times."
